effects of global warming despite having conservation zones designed to protect
them, and at least one-third of the world’s coral reefs are now beyond
recovery. An international team of researchers,
including scientists at Warwick University, have warned that urgent action is
needed to prevent the total collapse of these fragile ecosystems.

Prime Minister opens Warwick Digital Laboratory
Warwick’s new ultra-high tech facility, the Digital Laboratory, was
officially opened by Prime Minister Gordon Brown at a ceremony on

University friends reunite for 100 mile cycle in support of Emily and Ovarian Cancer Action
Fifteen Warwick University graduates will reunite on 17th and 18th November to
cycle 100 miles from London to Leamington Spa to raise money for Ovarian Cancer
Action in support of their friend Emily McArthur who is currently fighting the
disease.

Dr Janez Potočnik, the EU Commissioner for Science and Research, is
visiting Warwick on 20 September 2007. He’ll be giving a public lecture

Reinvention Centre - Undergraduate Research-based learning
The Reinvention Centre, one of Warwick’s successful CETL bids, is being launched on Wed 12 October.
