Our Facilities

Surface analysis instrument

We offer a range of surface analysis techniques that can be used across a wide variety of sample types. We have dedicated facilities for Photoelectron Spectroscopy and Electron Microscopy that offer a suite of state-of-the-art instruments.

We have a wide selection of state-of-the-art microscopes and imaging equipment available for materials and biological analysis, including our specialist Electron Microscopy, X-ray Computed Tomography and Advanced Bioimaging Research Technology Platforms.

With state-of-the-art technology operated by leading experts, we can help you understand your materials to drive innovation. We have a dedicated laser facility for ultrafast spectroscopy as well as offering a multitude of other materials characterisation techniques.

Polymer

Polymer Synthesis and Characterisation

Warwick is globally recognised as a centre of excellence for polymer research. We offer services ranging from gas and liquid chromatography, particle sizing and thermal analysis to bespoke polymer synthesis.

X-ray diffraction equipment

Structural, Chemical and Elemental Analysis

We offer a wide range of cutting-edge techniques and instrumentation for structural, elemental and chemical analysis. Our dedicated X-ray Diffraction Facility houses the first electron diffractometer in the UK.

Advanced Bioimaging

Biological Measurement and Analysis

We offer cutting edge instrumentation and technical expertise to support world-class research and development across all areas of biological science, including genomics, proteomics and advanced bioimaging.

Solar Cell Testing

Engineering and Mechanical Testing

We have a wide range of specialist facilities to support engineering challenges and testing, including capabilities for solar cell testing, climatic testing and the development of low-carbon thermal energy technologies.

WSS is the first point of contact for all external enquiries. We offer a confidential and cost-effective service and clients have access to our online portal for quick turnaround of contracting, including an NDA and MTA.
