Have your seven digit University of Warwick ID number ready. This can be found in your study offer email. Please contact admissions if you do not have a University ID number.

If you have a disability, mental health or medical condition you'll need to ensure follow our specific accommodation requirementsLink opens in a new window process in addition to applying online for accommodation. You should ensure you complete this process no later than the deadline of 9 August 2024.

Your confirmation email and offer of accommodation will be sent to the contact email address on your student record. This is taken from your UCAS application if you are applying for first year undergraduate accommodation, so please ensure that this is correct on UCAS before applying for accommodation. You will need to provide an email address you will still be able to access in September 2024, so please bear this in mind if yours is a school or college email address.

When to Apply

You'll need to apply online by 20 August 2024 in order to meet one of the conditions to be guaranteed university-allocated accommodation.

We would still encourage you to apply online for accommodation if you miss this date as your application will still be considered. We will continue to allocate eligible students who apply after 20 August 2024 on a rolling basis, subject to availability.

How to Apply

Step 1

Click the 'Apply for accommodation' button below and log in to the accommodation hub.

You should select the 'Prospective Students' option and then register/log in with your Warwick ID number and password.

Step 2

Once registered and logged in please make sure you have selected the correct academic year (2024/2025).

You will need to click 'Create Application' and then select the correct application type from the drop down options.

Step 3

You now need to answer some profile questions for us to better understand your habits and hobbies. This information is used to allocate you to a particular flat closer to move-in time if you are successful in securing accommodation on campus through our ballot process.

Step 4

Now you'll need to confirm whether you have specific accommodation requirements for any medical or disability needs you may have.

If you have specific accommodation requirements, don't forget you'll need to ensure you follow the relevant process and get supported by Wellbeing and Student Support by 9 August 2024.

Step 5

You'll then need to select your accommodation preferences. You have to choose six options and list them in order of preference.

Please carefully read through the information provided at this stage as it will outline any limitations to bear in mind when selecting your accommodation preferences.

After you have confirmed your accommodation preferences you will be shown a summary of your application details.

Please carefully check your application details, including your accommodation preferences and their order are correct, before submitting your application for accommodation.

Step 7

You should receive a confirmation email containing your application details within 12 hours after successfully applying online.

We advise to check your emails including your spam/clutter/junk inbox to ensure you have received your confirmation email.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is accommodation allocated for first year undergraduate and IFP students?

The majority of applications for students holding an unconditional firm offer are allocated through a computer ballot which aims to match students to one of their six campus hall preferences. This ballot will take place after 20 August 2024 for students who have met all three guarantee conditions outlined in our Allocation Principles. This will will determine which residences students are allocated to or whether (in the event of very high demand) we will need to offer partnership accommodation.

Around 60% of our campus is en suite and please be mindful that en suite demand can exceed availability. As you may be allocated to a shared bathroom hall, we would advise that you only select shared bathroom preferences that you would be happy with.

Undergraduate students are housed together in different flats to postgraduate students.In the event of high demand, students who do not require adaptations may be allocated to an adapted room.

Should I apply if I have made Warwick my insurance choice? Will I be guaranteed accommodation?

If you meet the conditions noted in our Allocation PrinciplesLink opens in a new window you'll be guaranteed university-allocated accommodation, which in the vast majority of cases will include a room in university-owned campus halls of residence or, in the event of very high demand, partnership accommodation.

To be guaranteed an offer of university-allocated accommodation as a new, full-time student you will have:

2. Submitted your accommodation application online by 20 August 2024

3. Hold an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick by 20 August 2024

What will happen after I submit my accommodation application? When will I find out about my accommodation?

If you're coming to Warwick as a first year undergraduate student, we will usually process your accommodation application after A level results have been released, when most students have an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick. If you are coming to Warwick as an IFP student, we usually process your accommodation application in late August.

Campus accommodation offers will be emailed in late August/early September and you will have two working days to accept your offer of accommodation. If you miss this deadline we may not be able to make another offer of accommodation, so it’s important to regularly check your email accounts as we are only able to make one offer of accommodation. If you reject your offer by accident, please get in touch with us at accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window as soon as possible. Once you have accepted an offer of accommodation for a particular residence on campus, your specific room allocation can change up until your date of arrival. If you happen to reject your offer, and decide to resubmit an application, we may not be able to make you another accommodation offer.

If you haven't heard from us regarding your accommodation by 9 September 2024, then please get in touch with us by emailing accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window. Please don't contact us if you haven't received an offer before this date and make sure you are regularly checking your emails including your spam/junk/clutter folders. Once you have enrolled and registered for an ITS account at Warwick, we will send correspondence to your Warwick email address, so please make sure you are regularly checking this email account too.

What should I do if I have specific accommodation requirements due to a disability, mental health or medical condition?

If you have a disability, mental health or medical condition, you'll find details about the process to get supported and the medical evidence required by visiting our Specific Accommodation RequirementsLink opens in a new window webpage. You should ensure you are supported by Wellbeing and Student Support by 9 Augsut 2024. We advise to submit any medical evidence in advance of this deadline to ensure there is enough time for it to be assessed.

In addition to getting supported, you'll also need to apply for accommodation and confirm within your application that you have specific accommodation requirements and agree to follow the process to get supported. What are the cancellation terms? If I apply after 20 August 2024, how will be application be processed?

You will still be able to submit an application for accommodation after 20 August 2024 as we will continue to allocate eligible students who apply after 20 August 2024 on a rolling basis, subject to availability, across our campus and partnership accommodation. We would encourage you to apply for accommodation as soon as possible if you miss our guarantee deadline.

Can I apply for accommodation if I will be under the age of 18?

Students who will be under 18 at the point of entry should be aware that they are applying to live in an adult environment. If you are under 18 on 19 September 2024 you will only be able to select en suite options for your hall preferences when applying for accommodation. If you are aged 17 on 19 September 2024 and would like to be considered for a shared bathroom hall (such as for financial reasons) please email accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window by 16 August 2024 and include your shared bathroom hall preferences.

Please bear in mind that if you will be under 18 during the Easter vacation period and you need to stay on campus, it may be advisable to not select a 35 week let length option as one of your preferences as we are unable to house students under the age of 18 in vacation accommodation.

I'm looking for accommodation suitable for my family and I, what should I do?

If you are planning to live at Warwick with your family, unfortunately our undergraduate residences are not suitable as rooms are single occupancy.

If you accept an offer of accommodation on campus, your accommodation fees will be added to your Warwick student account.
