Students and Academic Integrity

On the International Day of Academic Integrity (18 October) we launched a competition inviting students to make a creative submission on the theme of ‘championing academic integrity in the age of Artificial Intelligence’ for other students. The closing date for entries is 13 November 2023. Further details of entry criteria and prizes are available here. Entries will be displayed in the Faculty of Arts Building during Academic Integrity Celebration Week.

We are also inviting applications from students to become Student Academic Integrity Champions. The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • To promote academic integrity to students, via resources such as Moodle, webpages, videos or FAQs.
  • To signpost students to support, events, or resources that focus on academic integrity.
  • To develop and communicate an awareness of regulations, procedures and signposting to advice.
  • To communicate and back the importance of academic integrity beyond assignments, including for employability.
  • To co-lead Academic Integrity events with student groups.

Enabling students to develop transferable skills towards employability and further study, and to support peers, will be a positive addition to any job or ongoing study application. Further information is available here, or speak to your Academic Integrity lead. Please encourage students to apply!
