Module approval for the 2023/24 academic year

Changes to modules that come into effect for the 2023/24 academic year need to be approved on the Module Approval System by 31st May 2023. Although the deadline for changes has historically been in April, we are giving departments additional time this year to ensure all changes are made before the late review process is triggered (once the deadline has passed).

All module types (optional, optional core, core, etc) can be amended by the deadline, but certain changes to optional core and core modules may require approval via the course approval process. Changes that would require this type of additional approval include amending a module title, amending the module learning outcomes, or significantly amending module assessments so that the overall course level assessment strategy is changed.

If you are unsure whether course approval is required when making a module change, or if you need to request a course approval based on module changes, contact us here.
