National Student Survey (NSS) surpasses 70% response rate

The figure currently stands at 71.41%, with over 4000 responses. Thank you to colleagues across all departments who have made a sterling effort in promoting the survey to their students. Some of the innovative ways that departments have generated student engagement have been captured here – karaoke, fancy dress and Rolf the Cat all feature (separately).

The survey is a rich source of information for helping to improve the student experience, and so we are encouraged that over 70% of students have taken the time to respond and provide feedback. Results for NSS 2024 will be released on 10th July 2024, and we will be in contact in due course to share how we plan to disseminate this information.

As one survey comes to a close, another one opens. The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2024 is now live, and will be running until 13th June. A bank of resources has been compiled and shared on our staff pages, to support departments through the fieldwork period. Historically, PTES generates a much lower response than the NSS, so we have worked with colleagues from our own community and from the Open University to think about how to better reach our non-traditional learners. You can find out more about this in our briefing.

As always, if you have any questions at all about NSS 2024 or PTES 2024, please contact a member of our team at studentsurveys@warwick.ac.uk. We are happy to help.
