Mark Rowland has been a Methodist minister since 2009 and served in Cardiff and Coventry before joining the chaplaincy team at Warwick. Originally from Aberystwyth in mid Wales, Mark gained his MEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge and spent a short time in patent work before training for ministry, during which he completed an MA in Theology and Religious Studies. Alongside his work at Warwick, Mark is studying for his doctorate at the University of Leeds exploring 'a queer theology of holiness'. In addition, Mark is a member of the Methodist Church's Faith and Order Committee and convenes its Worship and Liturgy Subcommittee.
Mark lives with his partner Sam, who is also a Methodist minister. He enjoys singing, can play the piano and organ and is attempting to learn to dance. He is glad to be part of the Warwick community and looks forward to building relationships with staff and students of all faiths and none.
Mark's contact details will be published in September 2019 when he starts work at The Chaplaincy.
