Rev Dr Stuart Jennings
Stuart Jennings has served as a Methodist Minister for 42 years, with 19 of those years working as a chaplain/lecturer in Higher Education. He originates from Leicester but has served in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and at the University of Warwick (2006-2017).Stuart did his ministry training in Bristol, where he also undertook bereavement training with Cruse Bereavement Support at Bristol Children’s Hospital and then went on to complete a doctorate in history at Nottingham.
Stuart’s interests include history (early modern British) and has published four books and many ‘peer reviewed’ articles and is also a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He also serves as an Honorary vice-president of the Alzheimer’s Society, UK, a cause both he and his late wife have been involved with since the 1990s. Having worked and lived for a time in the middle east, he has a deep interest in multi faith dialogue and different cultures. He also spent the whole of Lent and Easter (2006 and again in 2008) as a guest of the Franciscan friars at Assisi and has a deep interest in Franciscan spirituality.
