Following on from last month’s list, the Warwick Conferences team has put together a list of various online webinars and blogs that are available to events professionals.

  • Ops in Lockdown on Tuesday 5 May. The third in a series of sessions from Ops ambassador, Lou Kiwanuka, will focus on ‘Resilience’. With a guest appearance from award-winning Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Dr Amanda Potter, the insightful discussion is not to be missed.
  • How to stay positive in lockdown on Wednesday 6 May. Hosted by EventWell’s Helen Moon, professionals can take part in the conversation covering top tips and advice on working in isolation and keeping healthy.
  • If you fancy a bit of a challenge there is the HBAA Digital Quiz Hijack on Thursday 7 May. The quiz is a virtual way for event professionals to meet up for some fun and relaxation to unwind.
  • For those who are members of Venues of Excellence, ‘MFHA Awareness – Adult Mental Health Aware’ takes place on Thursday 7 May. This webinar is designed to raise awareness and teach people how to support friends, family, colleagues and community members with ill mental health.
  • Venues of Excellence members can also join the ‘Developing your leadership and management skills with teams working remotely’ session on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 May. Attendees will explore how to develop confidence in leading virtual teams by adapting leadership styles to cope with personal and team anxiety.
  • Building Resilience in Events, brought to you by EventWell Managing Director, Helen Moon, helps professionals to learn the different factors that play a role in mental health. Taking place on Thursday 14 May, it highlights the areas in need of some dedication to improve resilience during these challenging times.
  • Mental Health Awareness on Tuesday 19 May is a webinar hosted by Gavin Percy, Managing Director at Balancing Edges. He will be helping the audience to challenge the stigma surrounding wellbeing.
  • With the spotlight shining on digital events, Venues of Excellence members can benefit from the ‘How to get noticed using video email’ webinar on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 May. The two classes aim to ensure participants are able to use video as a sales medium by embracing digital communications and to feel more relaxed on camera.
  • ‘Emerging from COVID-19’ on Monday 25 May is another Venues of Excellence session. This workshop covers how to manage client relationships moving forward, planning to re-launch the business and ensuring it is ready for future opportunities.
  • Warwick Conferences’ Warwick Wellness Corner is up and running with a number of insightful pieces of content. The latest blog looks at why all event spaces need natural light, and explores the benefits of it.
  • ICCA hosted a webinar on Food and beverage: Defining reality, dealing with today’s demands which can be accessed on its YouTube channel. Among the discussions, the team explore the different approaches to catering to the variety of delegate requests.
