Our green accreditations
We hold EcoSmart Platinum status from Greengage Solutions and are IACC Green Star Certified – these awards demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility. Warwick Conferences has been awarded 2nd place at the miaList Awards 2024 in recognition of our commitment to sustainability.
Our Business Development Manager, Justine Meek was awarded the Positive Impact Award at the Greengage Sustainability Awards 2024.
Our highlights
Carbon calculator
Try our easy-to-use Carbon Calculator tool. The tool created in-house allows event planners to measure the carbon impact of their event and take steps to reduce it.
Menu Parameters
We have menu development parameters, which not only give you a clear steer on how we develop our menus but also allows our chefs to create well-rounded and appealing menus.
Kafoodle
Our online recipe database holds all of our food and drink menus and provides the calculation and carbon rating on menus, to help support individuals towards their sustainability commitments.
Warwick Bees
The apiaries located at the University of Warwick serve as a safe haven for bees, offering a sustainable supply of honey that is regularly used in our restaurants.
Local suppliers
At Warwick Conferences, we proudly support local suppliers, ensuring quality and freshness while contributing to the local economy and fostering a sustainable future.
The Slate
Our venue, The Slate is rated BREEAM Excellent and EPC A-rating targeted. Achieving this rating indicates excellent performance and alignment with sustainability goals.

We are part of the University of Warwick. Warwick is on a journey to becoming more sustainable. We are determined that our research, our curriculum and how we operate make a positive impact in the world. Our sustainability committee
With representatives from a range of departments, the group are responsible for promoting and implementing our sustainability initiatives towards our long-term goals.
We are also part of the Platinum Inner Circle, whereby we regularly meet with other venues to discuss sustainability challenges, experiences and solutions.
