The Slate unveils summer 2026 refurbishment to deliver enhanced event experiences

Warwick Conferences has completed a significant refurbishment of The Slate, introducing upgraded technology, refreshed interiors and new event capabilities designed to enhance experiences for delegates and provide greater flexibility for organisers. The investment strengthens The Slate’s offering for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, gala dinners and live events, while retaining the features that make the venue distinctive.

At the heart of the refurbishment is a brand-new six-metre LED feature screen, delivering near-4K clarity and exceptional visibility in a range of lighting conditions. The screen provides greater impact for presentations, product showcases and live content, without the need for blackout blinds.

The venue has also introduced enhanced digital branding opportunities, including multiple 55-inch digital screens that allow organisers to personalise the space with event-specific branding, messaging and information. Upgraded AV technology, versatile lighting and wireless microphones further support seamless event delivery.

Delegate comfort has also been improved with new modern seating, while configurable staging provides up to 40 square metres of flexible stage space to accommodate different event formats and requirements.

The refurbishment also includes accessibility and inclusivity enhancements, including an integrated hearing loop system, accessible staging options and flexible room configurations, supported by the experienced event management team at Warwick Conferences.

One of The Slate’s most distinctive features remains its reinforced flooring, capable of supporting 4x4 vehicles. This makes the venue particularly well suited to automotive launches, exhibitions and large-scale product showcases.

The Slate offers 650sqm of contemporary event space for up to 400 guests, with floor-to-ceiling glazing overlooking its lakeside setting. The venue also benefits from adjacent breakout spaces and access to 358 ensuite bedrooms across Scarman and Radcliffe, providing accommodation for residential events.

Paul Bartlett, Director of Warwick Conferences, said:

“The Slate has always been valued by clients for its flexibility, scale and unique lakeside setting. This refurbishment represents a significant investment in the future of the venue, giving organisers access to enhanced technology, improved delegate comfort and even greater opportunities to create impactful event experiences.

“We’re excited to welcome clients into the refurbished space and offer an environment that meets the evolving needs of modern events, from conferences and exhibitions to product launches and live experiences.”

The refurbished Slate is now available for conferences, exhibitions, networking events, product launches, gala dinners and other large-scale events.
