Warwick Conferences Team Delivers Community BBQ at Harnall Lifehouse
The initiative, led by Paul Bartlett, Clive Singleton, Tim Egginton, Mark Ralph and Stuart Phillips, involved preparing and serving a BBQ for more than 60 attendees.
Originally intended as an outdoor gathering, the event had to be moved indoors due to challenging weather conditions. However, this did little to dampen spirits. The Warwick Conferences team adapted quickly, transforming the experience into an indoor “BBQ-style” event that still captured the warmth and sociability of a traditional summer get-together.
Guests were treated to a variety of freshly prepared food and refreshments, with feedback on the day highlighting how well-received the event was. The atmosphere remained lively and welcoming, reflecting the effort and enthusiasm contributed by everyone involved.
Clive Singleton- Head of Conferences and Event Catering, who coordinated the initiative, reflected on the success of the day, noting that although the weather prevented an outdoor setting, the excellent food and the positive response from attendees made the occasion a memorable one.
The barbecue forms part of Warwick Conferences’ broader commitment to social responsibility and community partnership and this marks the third year the initiative has taken place. By working with organisations such as the Salvation Army, the team continues to support local initiatives and contribute positively to the wider community.
Events like this not only provide practical support but also foster connection and a sense of community, demonstrating the value of collaboration between organisations and local services.
Warwick Conferences extends its thanks to all staff who volunteered their time and energy to make the event a success and looks forward to continuing similar initiatives in the future.
