Apprentice Gardener

If you have a keen interest in learning about all aspects of gardening including the use of machinery then look no further!

The University of Warwick consists of three adjacent sites including Central campus, Gibbet Hill campus and Westwood campus. The Gardens team manage over 715 acres of plant collections including herbaceous borders, tree collections, newly landscaped areas, woodlands and lakes.

During the apprenticeship, you will be working in an award winning landscape on a range of exciting soft landscaping projects, including the Commonwealth Games that are being held at the University in 2022. You will work alongside the team, helping them to maintain and develop the grounds and gardens of the University campus.

We provide a comprehensive training scheme where you will have mentors to support you along the way and if you put in the hard work, we will help you achieve your apprenticeship with flying colours.

We offer a two year apprenticeship with Myerscough College. The training will be a mixture of online sessions with regular visits from the Tutor to the University. Any required travel to Myerscough College will be covered by the University of Warwick.
