Sustainability Award - Nomination Form


This award recognises individuals or teams who have made an outstanding contribution to supporting the University’s Way to Sustainable strategy during the period December 2023 – December 2024.

Nominations for this category should highlight efforts that align with the University’s sustainability pathways and may include (but are not limited to) contributions in areas such as energy, water, transport, biodiversity, ecology, the circular economy, waste and recycling.

Key Areas for Nominations:

Submissions should focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Promotion and awareness of sustainability issues.
  • A project that has gone beyond the University’s standard guidelines to embed or enhance sustainability.
  • New, innovative projects or changes in practice that drive sustainability.
  • Sharing best practices and embedding sustainability in day-to-day operations.

Nominations should demonstrate clear alignment to the University’s Sustainability Pathways, as detailed here.

Important Reminders:

  • Submissions must include the full names of all nominated individuals. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
  • Teams can consist of individuals from the same department or cross-functional teams that have collaborated on sustainability-focused projects. Be sure to include all contributing members.
  • Unitemps employees can be nominated as part of a team but cannot be nominated individually due to their separate 'Unitemp of the Year' scheme. For further details, please contact Unitemps directly.

Submission Deadline:

All nominations must be submitted by 21st February 2025.

Submission Tips:

  • Draft your nomination in a separate document (e.g., Word) before pasting it here to avoid losing your work.
  • If you leave this webpage before submitting, your entry will not be saved
  • A ‘team’ can refer to a group of colleagues from the same department or a cross-functional team that has come together for a project or specific piece of work. If you are nominating a cross-functional team, ensure all contributing members are listed.
  • If nominating a team, please ensure that each member listed has made a significant and equal contribution to the success of the project or work being recognised.
