In preparation for future works BBV will be carrying out surveys in the existing road and drainage systems on a section of the A429 Kenilworth Road. This is to identify existing utility services and carry out Ground Investigation (GI) surveys. GI is the examination and study of the soil, rocks and groundwater below the surface. A number of methods are used to obtain samples and to monitor and test them. For example, boreholes may be dug by hand around utility pipelines or by using a rig in more open areas.

To complete this work safely HS2 need to install a lane closure controlled by temporary traffic lights. When this work is taking place A lane closure controlled by temporary traffic lights will be in place from 17 January 2022 to 22 January 2022 between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and between 9.30am and 1.30pm on Saturday.
