Director of Student and Staff Accommodation
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Wendy Roberts has been appointed to the new role of Director of Student and Staff Accommodation. This role is very significant for the University as residential accommodation is such an important aspect for students and staff who live on and off the campus. The student accommodation known as Warwick Accommodation has one of the largest on- and off-campus residential property portfolios (7,000 beds on campus, 2,300 beds off campus) within the HE sector in the UK and offers an unrivalled wide range of choice for the diversity of students both in terms of quality and rents. The first phase of our new Cryfield Village development (828 student bedrooms in total) will open this summer, to add a further offering to our students. The role also encompasses the main student and conference park reception and the cleaning services teams across the University.
Wendy has many years of experience working at Warwick, and I am delighted to promote from within the organisation. Her main responsibility will be to spearhead the future vision, strategic development and implementation of services and facilities required to provide our future students and staff with the living experience to complement and enhance their overall University journey. Wendy will report to myself and will be a member of the Estates senior leadership team contributing to all activity across the Estates function in support of the University.
