On Wednesday 23 January the contractors carrying out preliminary construction work to prepare for the HS2 train line held a drop-in session to share more information about the work taking place. Approximately 75 staff and students attended.

The contractors answered questions around travel – both cycling routes and road impacts, detail on construction timings and the methods to be used, ecological considerations including trees clearance and planting and wider HS2 queries. Limited preparatory work has been taking place on the southern perimeter of campus since last summer, and further construction work is due to begin in early summer 2019.
