Collection of abandoned bikes on campus

To help free up cycle storage space on campus we will remove all bikes that appear to be abandoned before the start of the autumn term 2018. During the week commencing 27 August, we will put tags on any bikes that look abandoned. If you find a tag on your bike, just take it off and attach it to the holder at the end of the cycle rack and we’ll leave it alone.

If a tag isn’t removed within 10 days, we will take the cycle into secure storage on campus.

What to do if your bike has disappeared

If you find that your bike has disappeared unexpectedly, please contact Campus Security as detailed on our missing bikes page. We keep removed bikes for 3 months before donating them to charity, so there’s plenty of time for you to make reclaim your bike if it’s been removed in error. We’ll also provide you with a free D-lock if you reclaim your bike.

Donate your unwanted bike

If you have a bike that you no longer need, you can now arrange to donate it to charity online using our bike donation form.
