Car parking changes: summer 2017

This summer will see a number of changes to parking arrangements on campus:

Reservations for external visitors

The reservation system we operate for external visitors will move from car park 7 (Arts Centre) to car park 15 (behind the IMC) from Monday 4 September. Through this we will continue our support for departmental visitors and events. It will, however, mean that the top floor of car park 15 will be unavailable to non-reserved drivers until 2pm each week day.

Car park 7

From Monday 4 September, car park 7 (next to the Arts Centre) will be available to all users, all day long since reserved visitor parking will no longer be based there.

Car park 3 and the Milking Parlour

Car park 3 (next to Cryfield) and the Milking Parlour car park will be unavailable from September 4 (provisional date) onwards as work starts to create the new residences at Cryfield Village.

Alternative parking will be available nearby in car park 7 (Arts Centre).

Car park 8 maintenance

The top floor/2 levels of car park 8 will be closed for essential maintenance and repairs from the week commencing Monday 21 August for 5 – 6 weeks.

The maintenance will include work on both sets of stairs in the car park. We’ll put pedestrian diversions in place – please follow the signs and take care.

Kirby Corner multi-story car park

Outline planning permission has been approved by Coventry City Council for our proposed new multi-storey car park next to University House. We’re now working on technical designs for the car park, and expect work to start on site in early 2018.

We're preparing alternative parking arrangements for when the project starts, and will keep you up to date closer to the time.
