Design and Landscape

We envision an exceptional university campus, one which is inclusive and welcoming. We will do this by developing innovative learning and working spaces, distinctive buildings, inclusive and accessible environments, as well as a unique campus destination.

Our commitment to sustainability underpins our development plans. Active green spaces in the core of campus, with a more cohesive network of routes, will make navigation easier. By maximising the generation and storage of green energy we will create low energy buildings, which will see us bring our vision of reaching zero carbon emissions by 2050 to life.

Key aims

To form a vibrant learning, working, and living community

To shape a distinctive University of Warwick identity that has a ‘cosmopolitan in the countryside’ feel

To create an accessible, inclusive, and people focused environment

Quality design and world-class buildings and facilities

Responsible use of resources

Campus Developments

Following our Campus Masterplan, which outlines an exceptional campus experience and quality of life for all, we will connect campus life with local communities, the West Midlands region and beyond. Our new Faculty of Arts Building, National Automotive Innovation Centre, Sports and Wellness Hub, Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Building, refurbished Arts Centre, focused woodland areas, and sculpture trails are just the start of these developments – we want to continue shaping Warwick into an accessible, inclusive and inspiring space for everyone.
