Our Future Campus:
Masterplan Evolution
We're taking a fresh, adaptive approach to our Campus Masterplan... and we need your help to do it.
Our Campus Masterplan is a long‑term approach to designing, improving and investing in our campus, so it continues to meet the needs of future generations.
As the people who live, study, travel, socialise and experience campus every day, students play a central role in shaping what comes next.
Over the next 12 months, we’ll be working closely with you to understand what a successful, welcoming and future‑ready campus should look like.
What is a Masterplan?
Our campus has evolved ever since Warwick was founded in the 1960s, with several Masterplans guiding major developments. But the world, and the student experience, has changed in recent years.
From the impact of Covid‑19 and the rise of digital learning, to growing needs around accessibility, wellbeing, sustainability and belonging, it’s clear that campuses need to be more flexible, inclusive and resilient.
An adaptive Masterplan takes a new approach. Instead of a fixed blueprint, it’s a living framework that evolves over time.
A flexible, circular process
Aligns with Warwick's strategic goals
Responsive to change
Why your voice matters
Everyone experiences campus differently. This might depend on your background, course, disability, commuting patterns, habits and personal circumstances. We want to understand:
How you use spaces — and which ones you avoid
What makes you feel a sense of belonging
How digital tools shape your daily routines
What impacts your decisions on where you spend time
What would make campus work better for you
Your insights will directly influence the shaping of future campus developments — ensuring decisions are grounded in real student needs, not assumptions.
