Regulation 8.12 - Appeals against Final First Degree Classifications

At its meeting held on 14 July 2010, the Council approved, on the recommendation of the Senate, revisions to Regulation 8.12 on the appeals process against final degree classifications.

The revised process as set out in 8.12(11) will come into effect from the beginning of the 2010/11 academic year.

Regulation 5 - Study Leave

At its meeting held on 14 July 2010, the Council, on the recommendation of the Senate, approved revisions to Regulation 5 for the Annual Review by the Academic Staff Committee of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, Associate Professors (Readers), Teaching Fellows, Senior Teaching Fellows and Principal Teaching Fellows and Research Fellows, Senior Research Fellows and Principal Research Fellows.

Regulation 4 - Academic Staff Committee

At its meeting held on 14 July 2010, the Council approved, on the recommendation of the Senate, revisions to Regulation 4 regarding the scope of the considerations of the Academic Staff Committee.

Regulation 22 - General Library Regulations

At its meeting held on 14 July 2010, the Council approved, on recommendation of the Senate, the disestablishment of the Warwick Graduates' Assocation. The reference to the WGA within Regulation 22 has been removed.

Revision to Regulation 31

Amendments to Regulation 31 Governing the Use of Computing Facilities.  Following recent revisions to the University Information Security Policies, the amendment proposed to Regulation 31 is required to align those senior colleagues able to approve permission for colleagues to access certain material which is necessary to their work but could be deemed unacceptable under the Policy.

The revision was approved by the Senate in March 2010 and the Council in May 2010.
