*A sub-set of the KEG responsible for reviewing internal HEIF bids and for making recommendations with regards to funding to UEB.
Terms of Reference
(1) Provide strategic oversight to the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the University’s KE Strategy.
(2) Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the implementation, delivery and evaluation of the HEIF KE Strategy, and the ongoing programme of internal and external communications with regards to HEIF funded innovation projects;
(3) Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the implementation, delivery, evaluation and monitoring of the University’s performance of the HEIF KE strategy, both at individual project and programme level, and oversee the production of the annual Statutory HEIF Return;
(4) Lead and oversee the production of the institutional HEBCI return, and the production and the submission of the University’s Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) data. This to include support for the development and implementation of effective and timely KEF and HEBCI output capture across the University;
(5) Lead and oversee the delivery of the priority projects included in the University’s Research England approved Knowledge Exchange Concordat Action Plan;
(6) Advise on any actions required by the University to improve future KEF metrics, once these metrics are finalised by Research England;
(7) Develop a contingency list of HEIF eligible projects, to support the effective utilisation of in-year underspend;
(8) Invite & receive presentations from internally funded HEIF projects, making recommendations as required to support continued excellence in delivery;
(9) Provide strategic leadership and oversight to an ongoing programme of internal and external communications with regards to HEIF funded innovation projects;
(10) Ensure that HEIF funded activities and those progressed under the Knowledge Exchange Concordat Action Plan meet the requirements of Funders and contribute to the KE objectives in the University’s strategy ‘Leading the Way: Excellence with Purpose’;
(11) Review internal HEIF bids and make recommendations with regards to funding to UEB. The members of this sub-group are denoted with an asterisk (*) below.
