Learning and Teaching Subcommittee

The Learning and Teaching Subcommittee has responsibility for developing, implementing and monitoring inclusive strategies, policies and practices, informed by student voice and insight, that encourage excellence and innovation in learning, teaching and assessment. The Subcommittee has a remit across and champions the breadth of the University's taught programmes and modes of delivery.

Terms of Reference

To approve:

1. A long-term roadmap for the work of the Subcommittee and University units supporting learning and teaching that achieves shared priorities for quality enhancement, guided by the Education and Student Experience Strategy.

2. A framework for integrating and maximising the impact of seed, project and innovation funding available for educational practice across the University.

3. Initiatives, projects, events and services developed or evolved in support of staff and student co-creators designing and delivering education on taught programmes.

4. The terms of reference, membership, delegated authority, and forthcoming priorities of bodies reporting to it.

To recommend:

9. Reports on matters referred to it by the Education and Student Experience Committee.
