Education and Student Experience Committee

The Education and Student Experience Committee has responsibility for the development, oversight and implementation of strategy relating to education and the student experience, on behalf of the Senate. It approves the policy framework governing the delivery of a Warwick education and student experience, across all levels and modes of study, in support of the University Regulations approved by the Senate. It advises and makes decisions on policies and strategies in light of requirements and guidance from government, regulators, and sector bodies. The Committee provides assurance to the Senate and the Council that strategy and policy are implemented, and that the University’s compliance with its regulatory obligations is secured, as they relate to education and the student experience.

Terms of Reference

To approve:

1. University policies in relation to education matters, including education and student experience.

2. Sub-strategies, plans and programmes of work in support of the University’s Education and Student Experience Strategy.

3. High-level frameworks that steer the University’s overarching approach to assuring the quality and standards of its education, including those relating to Inclusive Education, Quality Assurance, and the Academic Regulations and Policy.

4. The terms of reference, membership, delegated authority and forthcoming priorities of Subcommittees and other bodies reporting to it.
