Terms of Reference

a) To inform the University Information Management Executive Committee (IMEC) of issues relating to information management activities undertaken by the University including Information Governance, Data Protection and IT Security;

b) To promote co-operation between the University, its staff , students and visitors on all matters relating to information management;

c) To comment upon proposed changes to University information governance and IT security policies;

d) To comment upon the University’s strategic objectives and action plans in relation to Information Governance, ensuring that full compliance can be achieved;

e) To comment upon the University’s information management training objectives, and to consider practical solutions to ensure full compliance.

f) To consider reports from the Digital Strategy Group, including the quarterly information management performance reports.

Reporting Structure

The University Information Management Committee reports to the University Information Management Executive Committee.

Papers for consideration by the University Information Management Committee should be submitted to the Secretary two weeks in advance of the meeting at which they are to be considered. A completed paper and coversheet should be submitted electronically as a Word document to Information-Management@warwick.ac.uk

The Secretariat will confirm when the paper has been approved, note any amendments required and confirm the paper number.
