Your Line Manager

Your line manager will usually your first point of contact and will be able to answer most questions or will know who to direct you to.

Departmental Administrator

Your Departmental Administrator (DA) will hold much information about local ways of working.

Mentoring

You may benefit from having an informal buddy either within your own department or a different one, or a formal mentor (a more experienced manager whose skills and experience you can draw on to help you navigate your way around your management responsibilities).

Coaching

If you would like to gain clarity around your goals or next steps, you may benefit from a coach.

IT Services Help Desk

Talk with the Help Desk to obtain help with any IT related issues.

Human Resources

The majority of general HR queries can be managed by using AskHR. You can access AskHR via Success Factors.

You can obtain help on a range of other people issues by selecting the appropriate contact on the HR team pages.

Wellbeing

The Staff Wellbeing Hub provides contact details for a range of support services including:

  • Emergency contact information.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • Occupational Health.

Social Inclusion: Disability

  • The Equality Act provides reasonable workplace adjustments to ensure that disabled people can access a service or workplace at as close to the same standard as non-disabled people would receive as it is possible to achieve:
    • Allowing flexible or home working.
    • Changes to physical premises (such as widening doors or changing lighting).
    • Providing aids (such as assistive software or equipment).

    • Understand what workplace adjustments can be made to maximise the potential of disabled employees.
