Need to collect your campus accommodation room key?

Lost your room key? or Left your room key in your room?
Between 9am and 5pm, Mon-Thurs and 9am to 4pm on Friday, please go to your Residence Hub and they will let back into your room if you have left your key inside your room. They can also replace a key if you have lost it during these times.
The Student Information Centre during our opening hours also issues replacement keys if they have been lost and after the Residence Hub closes, they will issue a replacement if your room key has been left in your room.
If you require a replacement once the Student Information Centre has closed please visit Community Safety Hub
If you require a spare key, please bring a photographic I.D. with you.
If you are issued with a replacement key, please make sure the 'old' key is returned to either your residence hub or the Student Information Centre, Senate House so that we can make a conscious effort to reuse them.

Lost your ID card or a returning student wanting to collect your new ID card?

Replacement ID cards are issued at University House Reception (1000 – 1500 Monday to Friday) and at the Student Information Centre (Ground Floor Senate House) between 0800 – 2000 Monday to Friday and 1000 – 1800 at the weekends and bank holidays.
We cannot issue ID cards to anyone other than yourself.
We do require identity verification from one of the below to be shown before we print your card, we cannot accept anything UoW related to confirm who you are.
- Passport (Original or copy, this can be a picture of it on your phone)
- Driving licence
- Bank Card
There will be NO CHARGE to replace lost and stolen University ID cards for both Staff and Students.
Any new or replacement University ID card issued will need to be activated for full access to work. Within 10 minutes of the card being printed please make sure it is held against any main entrance reader located on campus for approx: 10-15 seconds for an update to process. The reader will flash blue whilst updating and green when completed (if scanning on a building you have access to). Your card should then work.
For printing purposes, your card will take from 12 hours to 24 hours before it can be used.
New Starter Staff ID cards
These are issued at the Student Information Centre (Ground Floor Senate House) between 0800 – 2000 Monday to Friday and 1000 – 1800 at the weekends and bank holidays.
We cannot issue ID cards to anyone other than yourself.
If you are visiting us to collect your first ID card, please make sure you know your seven digit ID number and have uploaded your photo beforehand. We do require identity verification from one of the below to be shown before we print your card, we cannot accept anything UoW related.
- Passport (Original or copy, this can be a picture of it on your phone)
- Driving licence
- Bank Card
We are unable to take photos at the desk and we do not provide lanyards.
The Student Information Centre cannot place access onto cards, we can only reprint, therefore if this is the service you require please enquire with your line manager/department.
Have a maintenance issue in your room?
Please complete the Online Fault Report it will then be directed straight to the Campus Cleaning Services Manager for your hall of residence.
Need Proof of Study / Student Status Letter?
You can now request a digital Certificate of Student Status via Student Records Online.
Need to collect your Graduation Certificate?
Certificates can be made available for you or a nominee to collect from the Student Information Centre, Senate House on request. If you have nominated someone else to collect your certificate, and have not already informed the Graduation team please contact Graduation to confirm the name of the person collecting it. Your certificate will only be issued to you or the named nominee on your record, so you must bring proof of identification (e.g. passport) when collecting your certificate, or your friend should bring theirs if collecting on your behalf. The maximum number of certificates that any one person can collect is five.
