Intensive Policy Training Course
The Warwick Policy Hub will be offering an intensive policy training course led by the Institute for Government, further details and how to apply will be confirmed soon.
Introduction to Informing Policy
Date: Tuesday 15 October 12:00-14:00
Location: Online, Teams
This introductory training session covers the mechanisms of influencing policy in a range of sectors including parliament, public bodies, international institutions etc. Professor Keith Hyams and Peter Dickinson will be discussing their experience of policy engagement and how their research has informed policy.
Parliamentary Training 2024
Dates: Friday 20 September and Friday 8 November
Location: Palace of Westminster
This workshop, held at the Palace of Westminster in London is delivered in conjunction with the Industry and Parliamentary Trust (IPT) and the Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (POST).
How to Write a Policy Brief
This training will focus on identifying the audience, making your research relevant, how to write recommendations, support available, active and passive dissemination.

999 R.E.S.P.O.N.D Project Resources Launch
To mark World Trauma Day on 17 October, we are pleased to announce the launch of materials for the 999 Respond projects. The 999 R.E.S.P.O.N.D projects, led by Professor Jo Angouri and Professor Nigel Rees in collaboration with Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST), the Emergency Medical Retrieval & Transfer Service (EMRTS), Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust (WACT), and University of Bristol. looks at the way in which the decision to dispatch a critical care team is made by the teams in the ambulance control rooms.
