About the Researcher

My name is Tom Johnston and I am a mature part-time student studying for a BA in English and Cultural Studies.

I have just completed my tenth module and need two further modules to finish my degree. Most of the modules I have taken have been from the English department. This year I may choose one from the department of Classics and Ancient History - The Origins of the Modern Novel.

About this Project

I am one of four members of the Centre for Lifelong Learning who have been given the opportunity to travel overseas to understand how different countries provide for their adult learners.

I will travel to Western Canada to the Provencies of Saskatchewan and Alberta to visit two universities and meet with staff and students. At the beginning of next term we will jointly present our findings to the staff and students of the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
