URSS/University of Ghana collaboration
URSS/University of Ghana collaboration
Designed to bring together students and academic colleagues from Ghana and the UK to co-create research addressing shared social, environmental, technological and development challenges. The initiative would provide opportunities for students to work across disciplinary and geographical boundaries, developing research skills while learning from different contexts, perspectives and approaches. Projects could involve comparative research between Ghana and the UK, collaborative fieldwork, creative and community-based approaches, and knowledge exchange, with the potential to build longer-term research partnerships between the two institutions.
Potential areas of collaboration include:
- Youth unemployment and skills training;
Youth and politics;
Agriculture, climate change and food security;
Governance and decentralisation
