To address the underrepresentation of Black academics at Warwick, we have ringfenced 40 bursaries within the URSS scheme for applicants who identify as being either Black or of Black heritage. These bursaries form part of the Warwick PATHWAY Programme - a positive action programme which provides support for Black researcher career development from undergraduate to postdoctoral level. PATHWAY URSS bursaries provide an opportunity for Black undergraduates to undertake autonomous summer research projects alongside their regular degree programme, as the first step towards consideration of a research career. In addition, PATHWAY URSS awardees will have opportunities to participate in networking and career information events open to Black researchers such as talks and trips to top research institutions.

If you identify as being Black or of Black heritage, please indicate whether you would like to be considered for a PATHWAY URSS bursary.
