Demonstrations on campus
Latest update: Wednesday 12 March 2025
University House and WMG access restricted
On Wednesday 12 March WMG buildings and University House will move to a single point of access. This is in response to a planned rally at lunchtime on Wednesday. You will need to be prepared to show your university ID on entry to Community Safety staff and keep it visible while in the buildings.
Please be assured that these measures are in place to help the University continue its normal activity and above all, keep everyone safe and secure. The demonstration is being monitored and managed in line with our legal duty. Universities are bastions of critical thinking and open dialogue, where free speech is vigorously protected. However, racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and any form of abuse, incitement, or harassment which is targeted at an individual or group is not acceptable.
All students have access to support mechanisms at Warwick, including speaking to our Wellbeing and Student SupportLink opens in a new window team or your personal tutor. If you have any concerns, remember that you can also report these confidentially to Report and SupportLink opens in a new window.
