Triple gold for teaching excellence
Warwick has been awarded triple gold in a national award that recognises teaching excellence.
The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)Link opens in a new window is a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS), which rates Higher Education providers for excellence above the set of minimum requirements for quality and standards for undergraduate students.
Not only was Warwick awarded the gold standard for its student experience and outcomes, we were also given gold, the highest level available for overall teaching excellence.
We are proud to be one of only four Russell Group universities - including Oxford, Cambridge and Exeter - to achieve triple gold.
This is a real moment in our university’s history confirming our excellence across the board in both research and education. These ratings are also a significant achievement since the last assessment in 2018, which graded Warwick as silver. This achievement belongs to you, our Warwick community, and the progression reflects your commitment, passion, and expertise. Together, we can feel extremely proud of what we do and have achieved.
Education excellence is embedded across our outstanding research-led teaching and student experience and our submission to TEF identified this exceptional work. Explore our new case studies which help bring to life our TEF submission, with members of our community sharing the stories behind our excellent education.
Over the coming year, we will continue to showcase our education excellence, recognising our community, and celebrating our success.
Commenting on our results, Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Warwick said:
