Planning for Arrivals and Welcome Week is still in progress. We will update this page with more information as soon as details are confirmed.
There is arrivals advice for new international students on our website.
Coming to University can be a confusing time. There will be a lot happening both in the run up to you starting with us and when you arrive on campus.
If you're feeling a bit confused, this page will help you find out where you can go for help with different types of queries, as well as answers to some of our frequently asked questions.
Welcome Week is a programme of activity designed to provide all new students with the best possible start to their life at Warwick. We'll provide you with a tailored programme of welcome and induction events through our bespoke Welcome Timetable app. We want you to have a great, fun, safe start to your life at Warwick this autumn.
Our programme of events and activities is designed to enable you to:
- Settle into life at Warwick
- Meet your flatmates, make friends on your course, and meet people
- Understand what it means to be a student on your degree programme
- Understand the breadth of Warwick’s offer (both opportunities and support)
- Learn your way around
- Adapt to life in a new environment, and for many a new country
- Get ready for day one of term
We want you to personalise Welcome Week to meet your wants and needs.
From early September, we will give you access to the Welcome Week student timetable. You’ll be able to explore all the events and digital content on offer and start building your bespoke timetable.
Your timetable will go live in September 2022. It will be pre-populated with core events arranged centrally or by your academic department. These are compulsory, unless otherwise stated, and will give you the opportunity to find out more about your degree and to meet other people on your course.
You will then be able to choose events by browsing through the categories or searching by keyword.
A link to digital and on-demand content will be provided in the event information on the timetable. To join the event simply click on the link at the stated time.
It is a good idea to familiarise yourself with a few of the basic platforms we will be using, including Microsoft Teams and Moodle. That way you’ll know your way around and feel more confident when taking part in a digital event.
Once you have set up an ITS account and completed course registration, you will be able to log in to MS Teams and Moodle using your University log-in details.
Take a look at our Student Guides page for more information on digital platforms.
For all new undergraduate students starting in September, there are a number of compulsory events organised by your academic department. These will be pre-populated in your Welcome Week timetable.
For some new Postgraduate students there will be compulsory events organised by your academic department. You will find these pre-populated in your Welcome Week timetable if this applies to you.
All other events are optional although we very much encourage you to come along and enjoy a great start to life at Warwick. Please note that formal teaching for Undergraduate students does not start until 3 October 2022.
We will update this website on a regular basis and you will receive emails from us in the run up to starting with us at Warwick. As we get closer, you can also follow our social media accounts where we will be sharing regular updates about welcome.
Welcome Week activities will follow the latest University guidelines on Covid-19.
Please refer to our page on recommended IT specifications
Most events in Welcome Week only require booking through the Welcome Week Timetable. If an event requires a separate ticket booking, the app will notify you. You will find tickets for Warwick Students' Union events at warwicksu.com when they launch their programme, along with more information about our Students’ Union, what they offer. The Welcome events programme will be available in September.
View our checklists for information on what you need to do before you arrive, on-arrival, and in your first week.
If you are allocated on-campus accommodation (you will be notified by mid September), you will be invited to complete your online residential induction and select an arrivals time slot. Arrivals slots will be available across several days in September 2022.
If you are arriving at another time in year, please follow the instructions sent by your accommodation provider.
You will receive an email 4-6 weeks before your course starts asking you to complete the course registration process. Enrolment FAQs can be found here.
Spring Term Welcome is a programme of optional activities open to all students that takes place in the first week of Spring Term. It's designed to help you make the most of your time at Warwick by highlighting the support and opportunities available to you, allowing you to try new things and meet new people.
