Have you lived abroad recently?

If you have lived or worked abroad for a period of at least 6 months in the last 5 years (e.g. if you are an

This is an essential part to the DBS check you are required to obtain in order to work. Details can be found on the website here.

You will need to obtain a translation of this document – we can reimburse you for costs related to obtaining the
Certificate of Good Conduct. Please email unitemps@warwick.ac.uk if you have any questions regarding the DBS or certificate of good conduct.
If you have any questions about any of the above, then please don’t hesitate to send an email to
warwicksummerschools@warwick.ac.uk.

Are you a Tier 4 Visa holder?

Whilst you can work as under a Tier 4 visa, there are extensive restrictions, i.e. you are restricted to no more than 20 hours of work per week (or 10 hours per week for some visas). This is a week-by-week limit and hours cannot be carried over on to different weeks. This restriction will include any paid or unpaid work and would also include any hours that they have worked elsewhere at the university or with other employers. For some Tier 4 visa holders this restriction will be lifted outside of term time but always check with Unitemps before any work is carried out as this does not apply to all types of degree. Email unitemps@warwick.ac.uk or call 02476 528 118 | t. 02476 150 266.

For more information, please also visit this website: Working as a Tier 4 Student

It is essential that Tier 4 visa holders always work within their visa limits. Working in excess of a visa restriction is illegal working and hence a criminal offence with serious consequences.
