Warwick Access Programmes

Our access programmes support students throughout Year 12 and Year 13 to make informed choices and equip them with key skills to be successful in accessing higher education. These programmes are designed to give them a taste of what university studies and life feels like and give them the opportunities to meet staff and students at Warwick and partner universities.

If you already know what programme you are interested in, click on the respective image from above to access the programme's main page. If you want to find out more about all our programmes follow down the page for more information. ACCESS PROGRAMMES POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

Watch and share our Warwick Access Programme presentation below with your eligible students, outlining each of our access programmes available at Warwick. You can also share this presentation during assemblies or tutor groups. Click on the below image to access it.

Applications for some of our access programmes 2024/25 are now open!

The application deadlines are:

Pathways to the Professions Programmes (Law, Banking & Finance and Engineering) - Applications are now open, closes on November 4th.

Realising Opportunities programme - Applications are now open, closes on October 25th.

Applications for our Warwick Scholars programme will open in March 2025

Please note that we do not advise students to apply to all programmes at once but to choose carefully which programme is best adapted to their needs. We will aim to give a place to a student on only one of our access programmes in the Autumn Term. Later in the Spring Term when Warwick Scholars applications open students who are already on a Pathways to Professions programme or the Realising Opportunities programme will be able to apply to Warwick Scholars if they wish to come and study at Warwick and they will be allowed to stay on the Realising Opportunities or Pathways whilst completing Warwick Scholars.

WHICH ACCESS PROGRAMME TO CHOOSE?

This online tool can be used by your students individually to explore which programme would be the most suitable for them before they apply. Note that students can secure a place on either Realising Opportunities or Pathways to Professions but not both as there are no additional benefits for them to do so. Any Realising Opportunities or Pathways participants can later in the year apply and if successful take part in Warwick Scholars whilst being on the other programme.

FAQs

The key information is contained within this menu. Open each section to find out more.

Our deadlines include all teacher references or parental consent forms. These need to be submitted by the deadline to us.

We only offer you a space on one of our Pathways or Realising Opportunities programmes. Therefore we would advise you use our online tool to decide which one is best for you before applying and only apply to this one. If you apply to all of our programmes, you run the risk that we assign you to a programme without taking in account your specific circumstances or preferences. Note that you cannot switch programme once you have attended the launch and that this does not apply to our Warwick Scholars Programme. You can be on Realising Opportunities and Warwick Scholars or on one of the Pathways programmes and Warwick Scholars.
Our Warwick Scholars programme may be for you. Check our prospectus and keep an eye out for the applications to open in March 2023.
All of our programmes recruit only in Year 12. If you are in Year 11 or Year 13 contact you cannot join one of these programmes however we have other resources and events to support you. You can access them here
We would advise to contact us to discuss your specific circumstances however we very rarely accept participants that do not meet the minimum requirements for our programmes as we want to make sure that you will later on be able to successfully apply to university. If you are not eligible we still have resources and events available for you here.
