Experience Warwick Summer School aims at giving Year 12 students from all over the UK an opportunity to experience what it is like to study at a top research university.
You chose from three exciting topics to study: Artificial Intelligence, Social Justice and Exploring Genders. You follow a varied programme of academic sessions in your chosen topic and take part in a group research project to deepen your understanding in that particular subject. You also discover the social life on our campus with a BBQ and Student union night and can take part in Societies taster sessions such as UV boxing, climbing and improvisation. The Summer School ends on a high with a dinner and disco.
Here is what some of our 2018 participants have to say:
“ It changed my life. Now I know what I want to study, where I want to study and how I can complete the university journey. I met some amazing people and we all still keep in touch thanks to you. I think the thing that made the summer school so good for me was how passionate you were and how much you genuinely cared. It felt real. It was a shame that it went so quick. Once again thank you so much for giving me an amazing experience and helping me take a step forward that I wasn’t able to take before.” Participant, 2018
“Aside from all of the amazing food, lectures and Ambassadors the best thing that you have done for us is made us a family. Around 40 of us have made plans to meet up in the summer. Thank you all for giving us this opportunity because it made me realise how valuable it was.” Participant 2018
