Warwick Passport 2 Your Future
Passport 2 Your Future is a module designed to help teachers, practitioners and parents/carers prepare their students/young person/child with key skills for Higher Education.
WHAT IS IT AND WHY TAKE PART?
This is an online module designed to help students thinking about their next steps after secondary school. They will be introduced to our staff and Warwick students and receive advice and guidance about exam skills and their career choices. Passport 2 Your Future answer questions your students may have about Higher Education and universities and give them the opportunity to discover our campus.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The activities and resources are available for anyone in secondary school however the activities have been created specifically with Year 10 students in mind.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The module has been designed to be delivered progressively over 10 weeks with a couple of hours needed each week to complete the activities. It can all be done online but requires some resources to be printed and given out by the teacher. All resources are downloadable below.
Its delivery is very flexible and you can decide to do only one challenge/activity with your class or to complete the whole set. You could also decide to offer it as a Summer Holiday activity to complete at home and send your students home with a Passport 2 Your Future pack.
Some challenges are better done in the order suggested (for example the All about Me activity feeds nicely into the Resilience challenge or the Academic Enrichment activities use skills learnt in the Study Skills challenge) but this is not a strict rule and the challenges can be completed independently of each other in the order that suits your class best.
Your students can reflect on their learning and collect stamps in a Skills Passport. To support engagement and completion we would encourage you to collect your children/students passports at the end of the module and celebrate with them!
