We have a wonderful team of ambassadors supporting students on the Pre-University Summer School programme this July. They are all current University of Warwick students and are therefore best placed to share the inside knowledge of studying at Warwick as well as the best places to explore on campus!

Dylan
I'm Dylan and I'm a fourth year Engineering student who's currently doing an Industrial Placement with a car company for a year (you'll have to ask me which one!). I love reading, going to the gym and playing badminton, even though I'm sure most of you will beat me. I can't wait to meet you all in July!
Tess
My name is Tess. I am a Mechanical Engineering Masters student about to go into my final year, however rather excitingly I have just spent a year working at Bentley Motors, the luxury car brand. At University I am part of multiple engineering projects including Warwick Racing and Warwick Hyperloop. I have also enjoyed helping run Warwick Lifesaving (a sport that combines first aid with swimming!) and Warwick Good Food Society (because who doesn’t love food!) In my free time I enjoy playing badminton and going to the gym. I am excited to meet everyone and to make the most of an exciting 10 days together!
Lottie
I’m Lottie, I have just finished my final year as a Politics and Sociology student here at Warwick. I am from Yorkshire in the North of England and have loved living in Coventry and Leamington Spa for the past 3 years. I enjoy sport and have been part of the Mixed Netball club here at Warwick, it has been the best way to make friends and try new experiences! I am a huge animal lover, with my two favourite animals being dogs and squirrels! I am looking forward to meeting you all in the Summer!

Marie
My name is Marie and I'm a final year Modern Languages student (Spanish, French and Italian). I love playing all sorts of board games and can be quite competitive too! As you can tell from my degree, I also love linguistics and learning different languages, as well as travelling and immersing myself in different cultures. I spent the last year studying abroad in Spain and Italy, and I know how scary it can be settling in somewhere new, but equally how exciting it can be, so I will understand how you may be feeling this summer.

I'm Eddie, and I've just finished my History degree at Warwick. My time at university has been an incredible journey, with varied experiences across different societies and causes. I'm excited to share those experiences with you all! Outside of uni, I'm a big fan of history books (of course), Formula 1, and hiking. This summer, I'm hoping to take on the Three Peaks Challenge! Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing some great experiences.

My name is David and I am a final year Economics student. I enjoy playing football, going to the gym and going on hikes. I studied in Spain for a year so I know what it's like to study abroad. I hope to be able to share my experiences with anybody who is concerned about studying in a foreign country, or answer any questions about Economics or university life in general, and I look forward to meeting you all in July.
Sam
Hello! I’m Sam and I’m a second year student studying Spanish and Japanese. I love to dance and perform at conventions across London and Birmingham with my friends. I’m also a scout leader and enjoy outdoors activities like climbing and zip lining. I’ll be studying abroad in Spain next year which will be a great chance to get an authentic experience of the country. Connecting with different cultures is a big part of my degree, so I’m excited to hear about everyone’s experiences!
Morgan
My name is Morgan and I am a third year Sociology and Criminology student. A fun fact about me is I once went to China to play table tennis for 10 days, but I gave it up a few years ago so I am terrible at it now! I am excited to meet you all and share my experiences of university life!
Safwan
My name is Safwan (people mostly call me Saf) and I’m a second year Economics and French student. I’ve been part of a few societies at Warwick, by far the best being the Warwick Economics Summit (the largest student led conference in the world!) and I have a keen interest in language, culture and travel. I’ve studied in many places, next year I’ll be studying abroad in Paris! Outside of academics, I’m a big time cinephile and an avid fitness enthusiast. Feel free to share your hot movie takes with me!

My name is Tolu, and I’m a second year Law student. I absolutely love reading, travelling, and exploring new cuisines. One of my favourite things about university life is meeting people from all over the world and sharing experiences, so I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all. Whether it’s chatting about books, swapping travel stories, or recommending places to eat, I’m always up for a good conversation. I hope you’re as excited as I am for all the fun activities ahead. Prem
I’m Prem, a second year Biomedical Systems Engineering student with a knack for problem-solving and a love for all things tech. Outside of 3D printing and designing cool gadgets you’ll find me in the pool, gym or attempting to cook (keyword: attempting). A fun fact about me? I flew a plane before I drove a car. I also really enjoy reading, drawing and sci-fi movies/series. I'm really excited to meet you all and share tips on uni life. I hope we can engineer some truly brilliant memories together during your time at Warwick!
Maddie
I'm Maddie and I am a second-year Theatre and Performance Studies student. Obviously, my biggest interest is all things theatre - let's talk musicals! When I'm not on the stage, you’ll find me spending too much money on Lego (and no it's not a kid's toy!). Oh and if you’ve got a dog I'm the person to talk to, I’ve been training dogs for eight years and absolutely love them! I can’t wait to share the amazing experience I've had at university here and I look forward to meeting you!
Sourav
My name is Sourav and I am a second year English Literature student, which means I am usually drowning in books I need to read or should be reading. However, during this summer school, hopefully we can all make time to relax from the academic meditations put upon us and generally have fun and gain some valuable memories that will make this summer an undeniable classic. I enjoy movies and gaming and just engaging in general conversations with people (I am a huge yapper) so you can depend on me to be a reliable pillar of support and guidance during your summer school experience.
Marni
My name is Marni, and I am a second year Classical Civilisations student! I especially love travelling and getting to learn about new cultures, as well as trying lots of different foods. I also really enjoy group sports, particularly in the warm summer months! I look forward to meeting everyone in July and learning about your passions!
Daniel
My name is Daniel and I’m a final year Liberal Arts student. I’m an ice cream enthusiast who loves watching sports such as F1 and football, as well as completing jigsaw puzzles! It’s just a shame I support Tottenham though ☹ Summer schools are an amazing way to gain insight into university life, and I can’t wait to engage in the programme with you; whether that by exploring your academic interests or visiting London and Oxford. Katy
My name is Katy, and I am looking forward to meeting you all. I am currently a second-year student studying English and History at Warwick, a relatively new, joint honours course. If anyone is considering a joint degree, I can tell you all about my course and the benefits of studying with two departments (there are lots)! Aside from that, I am in many university societies, and love acting, dance, singing - or anything creative, going to the gym and playing sports. Can’t wait for your experience here to be as fun-filled as mine has been - see you all soon!

My name is Yash and I'm a first year student studying German & Economics. In my spare time, I play jazz guitar and have really enjoyed being part of the various music societies here at Warwick. I'm also a massive football fan (COYG!) and am looking forward to organising and playing in lots of 5 a side games! My name is Joseph, and I am currently finishing up my final year of undergraduate philosophy at Warwick. In my free time I enjoy working out, playing video games, playing the piano, and memorizing random geography trivia. Growing up I lived in 7 different countries, so I am aware of what it's like to settle in a new environment, and will do my best to ensure all of you have an awesome time in July. I'm very excited to meet all of you then.
Jimmy
My name is Jimmy, and I’m a first year Maths and Philosophy student. I come from Rugby, which is very near to the University. My favourite place is New York City (hence the photo!) and I would love to live there at some point in the future. I’ve been playing the trumpet since I was 7, and I’m obsessed with jazz music! I also run, and completed my first marathon last year. I look forward to meeting you all in July!

My name is Zainab and I’m a first-year student studying Medicine here at Warwick. Alongside uni, I enjoy playing badminton with the Warwick Medics Badminton Society and going to the gym. I also love trying new food, and Coventry and nearby Birmingham has lots to offer! Studying at university is an exciting prospect and I'd be more than happy to answer your questions on university life and share my experience of Warwick with you! My name is Aishah, and I’m a final-year Law student at Warwick. I love diving into a good book (currently reading My Friends by Hisham Matar), crafting scrapbooks, and designing unique jewellery. Getting involved in international programmes has shown me how much there is to learn—not just about the world, but about yourself too. It’s been a real eye-opener, and I’m excited to share this journey with all of you. Can’t wait to meet everyone in July!

My name is Oscar and I'm a postgraduate student in Philosophy at Warwick, currently in the first year of my Master's programme. Before coming here, I completed my undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. A fun fact about me is that I'm very keen on (maybe a little too obsessed with) long-distance cycling and once cycled from Canada to Mexico over four months. I'm super excited to meet all of you and be a part of your adventure into university life for the next 10 days.

I'm Ammar and I'm a recent graduate with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Law. Philosophy was definitely my favourite subject, where I enjoyed exploring complex ideas and challenging perspectives. I'm a huge football enthusiast – both playing the sport and supporting Manchester United through their ups and downs! In my free time, I love traveling and getting lost in a good book, which helps me unwind and gain new insights.

I’m Hannah, I’m a third year student studying Biomedical Science at Warwick. In my free time you’ll usually find me going to concerts, playing Mario kart with my flatmates, and getting involved in societies! I’m really excited to welcome everyone to Warwick’s amazing campus, and to be able to get to know everyone!
Zoe
My name is Zoe, and I am a first-year economics student. I started rowing for the university this year and have really enjoyed being part of the team. I also enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my friends. Adjusting to university life can be a big change, but I’ve loved getting involved in new activities and meeting new people. I’m excited to share my experiences and help anyone who has questions about settling in.
Kiran
My name is Kiran and by the time you see me I’ll have just wrapped up my first year studying MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics). The course can be tough but I’m really lucky to have such a great support network here at Warwick. Aside from stats, I’m really into music and all things pop culture. If you’re ever looking for me, you’re likely to find me at a Warwick Pop Cult event! I’ve also picked up poker since I’ve been at uni which has been eating away at my time. I can’t wait to meet you all in July, it’s going to be lots of fun!
