Carmel Agyeman

Carmel

I'm Carmel, and I've just finished studying Ancient History and Classical Archaeology. For the past three years, I've had the opportunity to learn about amazing stories from different cultures, myths, and ancient art. When I'm not studying, you'll find me in the gym, watching movies and listening to all kinds of music. I'm also a big fan of travelling and attempting to pick up new languages along the way (emphasis on attempting!). Can't wait to meet all of you and chat about university life.

Photo of Dylan

Dylan

I'm Dylan and I'm currently finishing the third year of my Systems Engineering degree. I absolutely love my studies as it's the perfect mix of Maths and Science, and you can really make the degree about whatever you're interested in.

I also run Warwick's Good Food Society and put on amazing events for all the foodies at uni, so if you have any questions about the societies here I'll be more than happy to tell you all about it! When I'm not studying or cooking, I love playing video games, going to the gym and playing badminton. I'm super excited to get to know you all at the Summer School, it's going to be a fantastic time!

Cathy Xia

Cathy

I'm Cathy, a third-year economics student with a passion for development economics. I enjoy running, volunteering, and vlogging my life. Fun fact: I've had the incredible opportunity to travel to several countries during my time at Warwick! I was sponsored to travel to South Africa in my first year and Ghana in my second year. I also just finished my year abroad in two countries-Ontario, Canada, and Barcelona, Spain. Can't wait to spend those intense and rewarding 10 days with all of you. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat. Let's create amazing memories together!

Mir Tasin

Mir

My name is Mir, I was born in Bangladesh and moved to the UK when I was seven years old. I am a 3rd-year Law student and a future commercial solicitor. When you see me in July, I would like you to try and spot me and tell me the strangest and funniest law you can find in your country! For example, did you know, that in the UK, it is illegal to handle salmon (yes, the fish) under suspicious circumstances? I enjoy going to the gym, playing badminton, podcasts, films and some occasional reading. Very much looking forward to meeting you all, making the most out of our 10 days together and most importantly finding out all the laws you research for me!

In my free time, I also like to dance and I’m always involved with Scouts in one way or another, meaning I do my fair share of camping too. I’ve got more stories about camp now than I could ever possibly tell, it’s crazy how much can happen in a short amount of time with people. Photo of Elijah

Elijah

Hi, I'm Elijah! I graduated last year at University of Birmingham in Mathematics, and have just completed a PGCE here at Warwick, so I've had lots of experience at being new on campus. Whilst not being a nerd about maths (and in general), I'm a rock climber and archer; I discovered my love for these due to university clubs! I'm down for a natter about anything: favourite foods, shows, games but beware if you mention pets I will request to see pictures of them and in turn show off my cat who has a fancy moustache. Looking forward to meeting you!

Photo of James

James

Hey everyone! I'm James and I've just finished my first year here at Warwick studying Economics & French. I love playing sports and was lucky enough to be a part of the BUCS National Trophy winning futsal side, however you're more likely to find me at the socials instead of on the court! Living in Thailand for a lot of my childhood I know what it feels like to start fresh in new places, so be prepared for a lot of practical advice and funny stories (I hope 🙂). I can't wait to meet you all and then beat you at Uno! Let's have a great summer together!!
