Local Sourcing - Seed Oil
In October 2024, we changed our seed oil provider to local company Cotswold Gold. Based within a 50 mile radius of campus, their seed oil is grown, cold pressed and bottled on site.

Increased Plant-based Options
In the conference centre the lunch time menu is now 40% vegan and vegetarian!
Vegan and vegetarian meals are also prioritised on the menus, and the aim is to provide corporate guests with healthier and lower impact meals.

Made on Campus
The opening of the EatWise Test Kitchen in 2024, brought food production back onto campus. With ambitions to reduce the amount of brought in food to be reduced substantially, this offers the opportunity to reduce packaging substantially, and increase the visibility of the supply chain.
Coffee on Campus
In December 2024, the coffee roastery supplying our University owned outlets swapped to a
midstream coffee roaster spanning three generations, Bridge Coffee Roasters serving their Roots Botanical blend, which is grown are proudly grown by female farmers in Peru and certified Fairtrade, Organic and Rainforest Alliance.

Warwick Food Standards
Through improved tender specifications, the Warwick Food Group and Conference centres are committing to buying local, reducing unnecessary transit packaging and incorporating higher standards of animal welfare. Read more here
