A Morning at Canley: Sharing Coffee, Conversations, and a Commitment to Reuse

On 14th May, we made our way to Canley Community Centre for what turned out to be a warm and inspiring morning. Over cups of tea and coffee, we chatted with representatives from local charities and community groups, all brought together by a shared purpose: to give a second life to the University’s unwanted furniture and electrical items.


New Food Waste Recycling Bins – Let's Ace Food Waste together!

A new food waste recycling initiative will launch across on-campus residences on the 31st March. The Let’s Ace Food WasteLink opens in a new window campaign aims to help students use all of the food that they buy, while encouraging them to properly separate and correctly dispose of any unavoidable food waste, like eggshells and teabags.


University Relaunches Donation Initiative for Furniture and Electricals

The University has enhanced its system for donating suitable furniture and electrical items that cannot be reused on campus to our officially onboarded local partner organisations.


Circular Economy Success: Radcliffe Lounge Reupholstery Project

Radcliffe has been reimagined with a sleek, sustainable makeover, embracing the circular economy to refresh existing furniture—delivering a modern, high-end space while cutting costs and slashing carbon emissions.


Warwick Launches Coffee Cup Recycling Trial to Reduce Waste

A new initiative aimed at tackling waste on campus is now underway. The University of Warwick has partnered with Biffa to launch a Coffee Cup Recycling Trial, which officially began at the end of January 2025.
