Storytelling for Research, Wednesday 14 July, 3pm-5pm, Online

How can Storytelling make people care about your research? Join Duncan Yellowlees for this unique training session to find out. In this two hour session you'll discover the secret to telling amazing stories that can captivate your audience - no matter what platform you're using to engage people. Write better blogs, make better videos, give a better podcast interview, and be a better presenter.

How do you take a concept and turn it into a short video for the world wide web?

​Starting with a basic idea, Sam will work with you to take your work and turn it into a two minute video ready to share as part of a real event!

​We'll explore scripting, Health and Safety, accessibility & more.


Create your own Public Engagement Zine, Wednesday 28 July, 12:30-2pm, Online

Join illustrator and science communicator Hana Ayoob for this creative workshop on zine making for outreach and engagement. Zines are simple, self-published magazines or leaflets. 

In the workshop, you will be guided through making your own zine exploring your work or another area. We’ll discuss the history of zine making, how to distil ideas into a few key points, different zine formats, and ideas for using zine making activities and finished zines in your outreach and engagement.
