How Universities Support Public Engagement? A Comparative Global Study of Institutional Structures, Incentives and Barriers
The International Engagement Learning Circle are exploring a project titled "How Universities Support Public Engagement? A Comparative Global Study of Institutional Structures, Incentives and Barriers." This project explores how universities across different global contexts support or unintentionally hinder public engagement, and aims to develop a practical institutional framework and toolkit for embedding meaningful engagement. Institutional culture strongly determines who participates, and what kind of engagement happens. So, without structural change, engagement may remain limited.
The group plan to launch the project in September and complete it by January 2027. They currently have three contributors from the LC and are looking to expand the team by involving members from the wider WIE community. If anyone is interested in contributing, please contact Hesam Khajehsaeid.
