Upcoming Events - 2025/2026

Resonate Logo

We've created a structure of events for you to feed in to, so you don't need to worry about event logistics or finding an audience. Undergraduates, postgraduates, academics, technicians and professional services staff are all welcome to take part!

On this page, you can check out our calendar of events. The three types of event you'll come across are:

  1. Resonate Lates - for adult audiences, taking place off-campus in community venues, usually in the evenings.
  2. Day Out! - for children aged 5-11 and their adults, usually on campus.
  3. Resonate Roadshows - off campus events in community venues. Audience differs depending on the specific event and we often work with a venue or community to create an event that suits their interests.

Once you know (roughly!) what you want to do, then fill in our expression of interest form using the link below. We'll be in touch to talk to you about your plans as soon as possible.

Term One

Resonate Late - Ageing

When? Evening, Thursday 23 October

Where? Warwick Arts Centre

What? Interactive activities

This event will explore the topic of Ageing through an interactive exhibition, short talks and a presentation and panel from our guest speaker - author Carl Honoré.

We are looking for drop-in hands-on activities and informal conversations to take place from 6-7pm, and during the break from 7:45 - 8:15pm.

If you have work that you would like to share at this event around themes such as ageing, life, time, identity or health express your interest here.

The event is aimed at those aged 18+ (or 14+ with an accompanying adult), and there is some equipment budget available.

What? Interactive, table-top activities

Resonate supports Warwick Christmas Lectures by filling Warwick Arts Centre foyer with hands-on STEM activities before the lectures begin. Table-top activities and small-scale experiments allow attendees to get up close and involved with science!

Want to engage children age 7+ with your STEM research? This is the event for you!

Call-out open now. Deadline to express interest is 20 October 2025.

Student Showcase

When? Saturday 6 December

Where? Exact location TBC, Leamington Spa

What? Interactive, table-top activities

This event is a chance for Undergraduate students to showcase their work. There will be activity from our Public Engagement module students and URSS participants.

We welcome other undergraduate students to share their work at this event too! Perhaps your society would like to run an activity, or you'd like to explain an exciting concept from one of your modules.

Call-out will open in October.

Term Two

Resonate Roadshows & Resonate Lates

Look out for events taking place out in the community in Term Two! We're still finalising the details of exactly what these events will look like and will update this page as soon as we can tell you more.

Term Three

Resonate Festival of Everything

When? Saturday 30 May 2026

Where? University of Warwick Campus

What? Interactive table-top activities, performances, workshops, talks and more!

We're hoping to run our biggest Day Out! yet. We'll fill the Oculus, FAB and various outside spaces on central campus with activities from across the University. Most activity will be aimed at 5-11 year olds and their accompanying adults, but we're also looking to expand our offering to include more research activity for under 5s.

Whatever your research is about, we'd love to have you take part!

Call out will open later this academic year.
