Purpose
This Learning Circle focuses on the development of strategies for the robust and useful evaluation of Public Engagement activities and projects. It will in turn produce recommendations, support, and contribute to training (e.g. a moodle course) and templates to aid effective evaluation and assessment of public engagement projects by Warwick Staff.
Our work so far
Between January and July 2021, our Learning Circle met to establish its remit and set a clear direction for developing robust and meaningful approaches to evaluating Public Engagement (PE) activities and projects. Since then, we have collated examples of best practice from across the university, agreed shared evaluation metrics for PE, and developed a range of techniques, templates, and methods tailored to different audiences. We have also produced recommendations and resources to support Warwick staff in conducting effective evaluation and assessment of their PE projects, and delivered university‑wide training to strengthen evaluation skills and practice.
