Classics & Ancient History Alumni News - archive
Greeting from Alison Cooley
As Head of Classics and Ancient History, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our first alumni newsletter. Having recently bid farewell to our Class of 2016, I have been reflecting on just how much the Department has grown and changed since I first joined in 2000. Every year we have taught more and more students, courses and modules, and yet the Department still retains the close-knit sense of community many of you will remember fondly. And so as another academic year is upon us, I would very much like to take this opportunity to say a huge congratulations to our Class of 2016 and to reach out to all alumni with the warmest thanks for contributing to the fabric of our wonderful Department throughout the years. I hope that these newsletters will keep you up to date with news from this community and be a worthy celebration of both our and your endless successes.
