Summer Preparation

If you are planning to take Latin Language 1 in the academic year 2023-2024, whether you're already at Warwick, or are an incoming student, there is some preparatory work you can do.

Please get access to the course book (J.C. McKeown's Classical Latin an Introductory Course) and have a look at the introductory chapter (pp. xiii-xx).

Everyone learns languages differently, so it would be good to begin to think about what will be the best ways for you as an individual to learn Latin before starting the course. You might want to invest in (e.g.) flash cards for learning vocabulary, or a small vocab book. Get in touch with the module convenor if you have any questions about the course.

Also, do make sure that you have a look at this welcome document ( Welcome to Latin 1) for more recommendations.
