Practical Mosaic Workshop, Thursday 22nd June 2023

Come and try your hand at making a Roman mosaic and meet other members of the Classics Dept.

All years and programmes of study welcome!

 This workshop will be led by Lawrence Payne, a specialist in the reproduction of roman mosaics: https://romanmosaicworkshops.co.uk/. It will include a talk from Lawrence on the techniques employed by Roman mosaicists, followed by the chance to create your own miniature mosaic. It is funded by the Department as part of our Inclusive Education programme. Once places are confirmed, you will be expected to turn up!
