The project will be advised by a panel of internationally-recognised experts on the coinages of the period. The panel will meet annually during the project, with the first meeting in November 2019 at Warwick University.
Bernhard Woytek is the Director of Documenta Antiqua based at the Institute for the Study of Ancient Culture, Austrian Academy of Sciences, and is an expert on Roman Republican coins.
François de Callataÿ is Head of Department at the Royal Library of Belgium and professor at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, He is an expert in Hellenistic coinage and numismatic quantification. In addition he is currently a collaborator on the project SILVER at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, focusing on silver isotopes in coinage.
Arnaud Suspène is a Professor at Université d’Orléans/CNRS. He also leads the AUREUS project at the Centre Ernest Babelon, Orléans which is investigating Roman Republican gold coinage.
Catherine Grandjean is a Professor at Université de Tours where she leads the KOINON project investigating Hellenistic Greek federal coinage.
Richard Ashton is a specialist in late Hellenistic coinages of the Aegean.
